Zombieland: Despite some obvious errors here and there (regarding technicalities), it was a good zombie movie, even if the ending was somewhat disappointing.

[27-12 edit]Saw Spirited away and Sherlock Holmes. Spirited away was good, in the spirit (haha) of Miyazaki movies. Sherlock Holmes was good, but I felt like I was watching Pirates of the Caribean again in a different setting...

[7-3 edit]Saw Alice in Wonderland. Definitely a Tim Burton movie, with the same trees he used in his other movies, but somewhat not as good as I thought it would be. The beginning and end were disappointing, too: the start because of the bad character act and the end because of, well, the end, but I won't spoil!

Watched Ponyo. This one feels a lot like Totoro. It's really, really sweet, with a simple storyline. Also, even the scary-trannie-dad is kinda adorable in his own way. It's something about Ghibli, I'm tellin' ya.

I saw it. It was amazing, another great film by Tim Burton (my favorite director). It was based more on the sequel "Through the Looking Glass" than the original Alice in Wonderland I think. The 3D was awsome and I really liked the dark atmosphere. I recommend it =D> .

I saw Alice in Wonderland in 3D last night and I didn't really care for it. It's pretty (the costumes are awesome) but it's cliche and overdone. It's not a bad movie, but it's not up to the hype. Don't spend the extra money to see it in 3D because it doesn't make it any better (and it's not as good as the 3D in Avatar, so my friends who've seen that movie say).

Also: not enough Alan Rickman. XD

I also saw Cop Out last weekend. Standard buddy cop action comedy.

I saw Whisperof the Heart yesterday. Not really the best Miyazaki movie I saw, but fun nonetheless... if you like classic love stories and many references to his other movies. The clock is named Porco Rosso XD

I saw the prescreening for Hot Tub Time Machine.

If that's not the greatest title ever for a movie...I don't know what is....

XD J/K

It's really, really funny. Also, really stupid...but some parts are so stupid that it's really funny. There is smart humour in there as well. Anyone who loves the 80s should really see this one (though maybe on cheap movie night).

Flash Gordon - Gosh, I love campy movies. I love campy movies with goofy plots and poorly disguised political commentary. Also, BRIAN BLESSED! (And young Timothy Dalton, squee!)

WOW, I don't know how long its been since I heard someone mention Flash Gordon :o . It use to be my grandma's favorite. I saw Titanic, I loved it. Great, yet sad movie. I also saw the AIR movie. I like Kyoto Animation's version of AIR more and I think KyoAni's version was more beautiful in terms of animation.

Watched Invictus. I'm a Rugby player so I was suckered in. I cam for the GLORIOUS RUGBY STORY and stayed instead for the South African unity and back door political story. I quite liked it but I won't give it an A grade or anything of that nature. Certain parts did feel a bit forced but any of those were quite smoothed over by Morgan Freeman talking. He could likely threaten you with rusty knife in back alley but if he did it in his soothing voice I wouldn't care because even getting threatened would be enjoyable.

Pacifist warrior. Great movie with lots of morale points. I doubt if it passed in the cinemas right now it would get a lot of people, since there's little to no action, but still very deep.
