Singing/Playing Japanese Songs - Can You?

Postby Nintendosaiyan » 19 Mar 2009 04:42 pm

Anyone know how to sing or play any Japanese songs? I definitely can't sing... anything... in any language... but I can play some Janne Da Arc songs on the keyboard. I can also play a bit of Tekesuta Kousen by An Cafe too. Fun x3

How about YOU? ^^

I can't play Japanese songs since I can't play any instrument at all, but I manage to sing pretty well (except for my crapy voice^^). I won't list them, since my karaoke folder is huge, but they include anything from Sachi Tainaka to Nico Nico Douga^^ If you want to start, Border of death, bu Iosys is pretty easy to follow!
Feel free to misspell my name^^

I find it hard to listen to music if I can't sing along. That doesn't mean I sing well because I don't but I have the lyrics memorized to every song I like Japanese or otherwise. I also play the guitar but I find it very hard to find good tabs for any Japanese songs. That being said I do know how to play Yui-Rolling Star and Suteki Da Ne on the guitar. That is about it though.

I love to sing! My voice is, to put it nicely, not to be let out in public, although my mom says I have a good voice (I think she's tone deaf). But every time I hear a good song or a song I know, I just have to get lyrics and sing it, everything from KOTOKO to X Japan. Also, I play some JRock/anime songs on my keyboard. Though I'm still in learning how to play and I'm still studying music, it's fun when you actually see that you're making progress.

I can sing a couple of songs from various anime. I specifically set out to learn the words to Lum's Love Song in high school, and of course any Moonie worth their Silver Moon Crystals learned the Japanese Sailor Moon themesong.

I got up the lyrics to Diamond Virgin by Janne Da Arc up on the computer and started 'singing' it once. It was fun  I also got up the lyrics to Blurry Eyes by L'Arc En Ciel and they just happened to have the exact same syllables as the Japanese words XD

Also you shouldn't trust your mum with these things. They just won't admit it if you have a bad voice :P

I love singing Japanese songs but a lot of the time I don't have the lyrics memorized so I just hum that part.

I usually try to sing some song in Japanese, but I "hurt" them, because I can't speak Japanese... :( But I think, when somebody don't like, when i sing, then he/she/it can leave me in my room... :)

I can sing them, at least, when I take the time to learn them. But I mostly like playing them on piano. Lol, my folder of sheet music is about to fall apart, I've stuffed it so full . . .
