Postby yska1201 » 13 Jun 2008 07:40 pm

I know, after you look at me, you will notice that I am in love with this manga. MEGATOKYO.....It's just amazing.

I dunno. Megatokyo was okay, but there were too many angst-moments from the actual artist himself that I couldn't follow it as a webcomic (because I got tired of all the whining). When Megatokyo was co-written between the real Piro and Largo, it was much better.

The art was nice, though. I'll give it that.

Were we reading different comics...?

I'm not sure about you but the art was middling at best for me (Slightly better as time has gone on) compared to actual professional mangas. The story was funny in the beginning as what seemed like a regular webcomic with something of a plot (Two game nerds go to gaming Mecca, Tokyo, hilarity ensues) but had become more mature in view point as time went by. Though, I'm still not entirely sure as to how it'll all connect in the end since Piro decided to keep cont unity from those days.

I'd agree however, that I liked the humor when Largo was there too but Piro has been making up for it in Omake's and such though I still don't like how he shoved Largo out of the equation in the first place. Seemed like strong arming to me, which is surprising as Piro usually whines rather than strong arms, he even admits as much in his rants or Dead Piro Art Day comics. I'll withhold judgment however until its end which may be a ways off as I'm not sure where any of this will end or if the author himself ever really planned that out at all.

Oh, and I'm a regular on the MT Forums but mostly I lurk in Forum RPGs, Video Games, and MT Central so say hello. I'm kinda more addicted to that than the actual comic at this point. Forum name is very, very similar to this one so it'll be easy to pick me and my long ass posts out.

Megatokyo is something that I don't read for months and then catch up in an evening or two (two the last time because my gap was two years) because it got to be too much trouble to keep going to the site a few times a week just to get a DPD comic. :P It's probably because of the format, but I've been disappointed in just how little the story has moved.

Oh, the best part of Megatokyo: Shirt Guy Dom! XD

Ya, I get annoyed with that too. I read the whole thing voraciously in one night in the fall from the first comic until the beginning to middle of the last chapter that was just finished. I eventually filtered out everything but story just ot cut down on time but went back to the original order at one point and saw a lot of Shirt Guy Dom days and a lot of people removing the r in shirt >_>;

I thought he was kinda cool though. He just has to be used sparingly.

I just love the fact that whe I do read it, it shows me that even if stuff like that happens they can find out a solution....Even with a life size PS2 acsessory living with them. That's kinda creepy at times. I really don't like SGD days.....But some of them are kinda usfull.

Not really but its fun to say that.

I also prefered the old MT, but it's still pretty nice, since the two genres are my favorites^^ At first, humor, then sadness in real life. Great!

Shirt guy Dom is kind of lame, though... except the last one^^ I recall to have skipped every one of them until a few months ago without even looking at them, but now I'll read them, too!
Feel free to misspell my name^^

Ehn, my sense of humour is different than others' so I know I'm in the minority when I say that I love SGD days (though a few of my friends love the SGD comics too). XD

Ghost in the Shell just owns every action manga out there...though D.Gray-Man, Naruto, Bleach, Elfen Lied and Claymore are good too.

One of my all time favorites is Hidamari Sketch. I've had a better time reading that series that pretty much anything else.

I think it would be pretty cool if Kawaii-radio had a smiley for Threadomancy  . Anyway, I think Negima, Elfen Lied, One Piece, Lucky Star, and Azumanga Diaoh are pretty good manga.
